Somdata Nhawkar is a seasoned professional photographer with nearly two decades of expertise in the industry, having established his practice in 2005. He specialises in diverse photographic disciplines, including automotive, architectural, and product photography, bringing a comprehensive skill set to each project.
His journey began with formal education in visual arts, completing a 2-year Art Teacher Diploma (ATD) in 2003, which laid the foundation for his artistic vision. He subsequently pursued specialised training at Shari Academy, earning a 2-year Mastercraftsman Diploma in Professional Photography and Digital Imaging, where he honed his technical proficiency and creative approach.
Recognising his talent and dedication, Shari Academy invited Somdata to join their full-time faculty as an Assistant Instructor, where he spent five years mentoring aspiring photographers and sharing his expertise in the field. This teaching experience further refined his understanding of photographic principles and techniques.
In 2010, Somdata expanded his professional portfolio by joining Autocar India as their dedicated staff photographer, where he specialised in automotive photography for two years. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into commercial photography and magazine production standards.
Building on his diverse experience, Somdata established his own photography studio, transitioning to independent practice. Today, he operates as a Professional Freelance Photographer and Photoshop Artist, offering comprehensive visual solutions to clients across various industries. His unique combination of technical expertise, artistic vision, and extensive experience in both education and commercial photography positions him as a versatile professional capable of delivering exceptional results across multiple photographic genres.
